Shipping Policy

The plain-English version: Every SunBorn piece is custom-engineered upon order — production takes 2–5 business days before transit begins. Free shipping on orders over $80. Other rates are calculated at checkout. North America transit is 5–9 business days; international 9–20 business days. Orders may ship in multiple packages from different manufacturing facilities. Transit risks (lost, stolen, damaged, delayed) are covered when you add Purchase Assurance™ at checkout.

01 // Manufacturing Context

SunBorn Collective operates on a decentralized, premium print-on-demand manufacturing model. Every piece — from match-day jerseys to Aero-Tanks, hoodies, accessories, and Custom Edition kits — is engineered specifically upon order confirmation. We do not hold pre-made garments in a warehouse.

This means production time applies before transit time begins. Once your order is logged in our system, it enters production at one of our specialized manufacturing partners, undergoes quality control, and is then handed to the carrier for delivery.

The timelines below reflect this two-phase process: production phase + transit phase.

02 // Free Shipping Threshold

Free shipping on every order over $80 USD. Applies to all eligible domestic and international destinations. Calculated automatically at checkout — no code required.

For orders under the $80 threshold, shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected shipping method. All applicable rates will display before payment confirmation.

Note: Free shipping applies to the cost of standard shipping only. Customs duties, import taxes, and VAT charged by the destination country remain the responsibility of the receiver (see Section 08).

03 // Production Timeline (Before Transit)

After you complete checkout, your order enters our production pipeline:

Tracking sync delay: Once your tracking number is generated, it may take 24–72 hours for the carrier's system to display active transit updates. If your tracking link initially shows "Not Found" or "Pre-Transit," the package has been handed over — the carrier's scanning system is simply catching up. This is normal.

Custom Edition pieces may require slightly longer production windows due to the personalization step. Specific Custom Edition timelines are disclosed on individual product pages.

04 // Estimated Transit Times

Transit times begin after production is complete and the package is handed to the carrier.

Rates for orders under $80 are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and selected service.

These are estimates, not guarantees. SunBorn is not legally liable for delays caused by extreme weather, global supply chain disruptions, local carrier strikes, customs hold-ups, or other factors outside our operational control.

05 // Split Deployments (Multiple Packages)

To guarantee the highest construction quality, SunBorn uses specialized manufacturing facilities globally — different specialists for sublimated AOP jerseys, heavyweight hoodies, embroidered accessories, and drinkware.

What this means for your order:

  • Orders containing different product types may ship in separate packages from different facilities
  • Each package gets its own tracking number, sent to you via separate emails
  • Packages may arrive on different days
  • If one item arrives before the rest, your remaining items are still in transit — not lost

Tracking multiple packages: Look for separate tracking emails in your inbox. Each shipment carries its own unique tracking number. If you can only locate one tracking number and your order contained multiple items, check spam folders or contact us at info@sunbornfc.com.

06 // Transit Risk & Coverage

SunBorn's standard liability ends when your package is securely handed to the carrier (USPS, FedEx, DHL, or other shipping service). Once tracking shows a successful handoff, transit risk transfers per the terms below.

With SunBorn Purchase Assurance™ (optional, added at checkout):

  • Lost packages — covered
  • Stolen on delivery — covered
  • Damaged in transit — covered
  • Significantly delayed — covered
  • Wrong fit returns — covered, including final sale items

Purchase Assurance™ claims are filed directly through Seel's Resolution Center at resolve.seel.com. You'll receive a confirmation email from Seel containing your policy ID and claim filing instructions after checkout. For full details, see our Purchase Assurance page.

Without Purchase Assurance™ (standard coverage):

  • Lost in transit: If carrier telemetry confirms the package was lost before delivery, SunBorn will cover a replacement. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of estimated delivery date. Email info@sunbornfc.com with your order number and tracking ID.
  • Marked delivered but not received: If carrier tracking officially shows DELIVERED, our fulfillment obligation is complete. SunBorn does not issue refunds or free replacements for packages marked delivered but missing. File a claim directly with the carrier using your tracking ID.
  • Damage during transit: Not covered under standard policy. Items damaged in transit on orders without Purchase Assurance™ are the receiver's responsibility once the carrier has accepted the package.

This is why we recommend Purchase Assurance™. Lost-after-delivery (porch piracy), transit damage, and significant delays are not covered under standard shipping policy. Customers who add Purchase Assurance™ at checkout are protected against these risks for a small fee. See our Purchase Assurance page for full coverage details.

07 // Address Errors & Order Modifications

The customer is solely responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout — including correct apartment, suite, unit numbers, and postal codes.

Wrong address: If you provide an address deemed insufficient or undeliverable by the carrier, the package will be returned to our manufacturing facility. You are responsible for the secondary shipping costs required to re-deploy the package to the corrected address.

Unclaimed packages: Packages returned to our facility because they went unclaimed at customs, pickup locations, or postal offices are subject to the same re-deployment cost responsibility.

Order modifications and cancellations: Because our manufacturing partners begin production almost immediately after checkout, shipping addresses and sizing cannot be modified once an order is confirmed. Orders cannot be canceled after manufacturing has begun. Please double-check all data before completing checkout.

If you notice an error immediately after checkout, contact info@sunbornfc.com within 30 minutes — we may be able to intercept the order before production begins, though this is not guaranteed.

08 // International Customs & Duties

For international shipments, the receiver is the importer of record and is solely responsible for:

  • Customs fees
  • Import duties
  • VAT (Value Added Tax)
  • Any other taxes or fees levied by the destination country

SunBorn cannot estimate, prepay, or override government-mandated import procedures. Customs hold times vary by country and are outside our operational control.

Abandoned packages: If a package is rejected at customs due to unpaid duties or refused by the recipient, the order is not eligible for a refund. The receiver is responsible for any return-shipping costs incurred.

Tax preparation for customs: Customs authorities require us to declare the value of your order on the shipping label. SunBorn cannot under-declare order values, as this constitutes fraud under international shipping law.

09 // Signature Requirements & Delivery

Standard SunBorn deliveries do not require a signature. Packages will be delivered to the address provided at checkout, with handling and placement at the discretion of the carrier (mailbox, doorstep, lobby, etc.).

If your destination requires special handling (secure building, gated access, hold for pickup), please include detailed instructions in the shipping address field or order notes. SunBorn cannot guarantee the carrier will honor special handling requests, but providing them improves the likelihood of successful delivery.

  • Marked delivered but not received: Contact carrier directly with tracking ID (standard policy) or file Purchase Assurance™ claim if purchased
  • Customs questions: Contact your local customs authority — SunBorn cannot intervene in customs holds
