The Hexagone is the country's geographic shape — a six-sided outline of mainland France. The Coq Gaulois is the older totem — a Latin pun (Gallia, Gaul; gallus, rooster) that survived Rome, the Revolution, and every regime since. Marianne is the Republic's profile, the Phrygian cap on the symbol of Liberté. Three layers of identity stacked into one nation. None of them are the whole story.
The Hexagone Protocol holds the deeper one. Woven across the white panel in low-opacity relief — the iconographic vocabulary of every ethnic lineage represented in the modern squad: Akan and Bamileke motifs for the Cameroonian source; Arabic calligraphic geometry for the Algerian and North African thread; Wolof and Serer pattern language for the Senegalese and Mauritanian roots; Bambara symbols for the Malian inheritance; Fon and Ewe marks for the Guinean and Togolese lines; Igbo and Yoruba glyphs for the Nigerian origin; Kongo cosmograms for the Central African thread; and the diamond-form grid of the Antilles for the Caribbean diaspora. Nineteen glyphs, one substrate field — every origin active, none erased. The team that wears the tricolore carries all of this. The jersey says so, quietly, in the weave.
Built in Philadelphia for the millions who carry Algiers, Dakar, Yaoundé, Bamako, Pointe-à-Pitre, and Marseille in the same passport. The diamond cascade runs the spine like a tricolore current. The hex holds. Ancestral form. Future motion.
